Honua Kai 

Honua Kai is a luxury beachfront resort property located on North Kaanapali Beach. Honua Kai was developed and built in 2008/2009. Amenities include a full-service spa, bell and valet service, a gourmet market, multiple swimming pools and hot tubs, and Duke’s Beach House Restaurant is located onsite with beautiful ocean views.  Between 2018 and 2020, Luana Gardens were built behind the main beachfront Honua Kai Towers, as a final phase of this development, adding more options for owners and guests seeking larger 3-bedroom residences with access to Kaanapali Beach. 

Onsite vacation rental management is available at Honua Kai through Outrigger, though the owner can also choose to use a private management company. There are 635 units across two buildings – the Konea Building to the north, and the Hokulani Building to the south consisting of studios, 1 bedroom, 2 bedrooms, and 3 bedroom suites with full kitchens and in-unit laundry. Some units have built-in gas grills on the lanais.

Honua Kai was designed with a 150-foot setback area from the shoreline and has a sandy beach in front. There is a boardwalk path meandering along the beach with multiple raised walkways across the coastal dues to the sandy shoreline.
